Your camera shows her where you are, and what your face shows her.
No picture ever leaves your device.

Jaelyn

Her eyes follow where you are. What she feels is shaped, slowly, by everyone who visits.

Your camera is used on your device to find your face and to notice whether it smiles, looks sad or hardens. No picture or video leaves your device, nothing is recorded, and nobody is identified.

If you let her hear you, your microphone is used on your device too. What you say is turned into text there, counted for kind, sad and hostile words, and dropped. No sound and no words leave your device. Turning this on loads about 65 MB once.

When you leave, a handful of small values are sent: how much your face smiled, looked sad or was hard, how long you stayed, whether a camera was used, and, if you spoke, how much of it was kind, sad or hostile. They are folded into that day's total and not kept as yours.

For one day a scrambled form of your network address is held, so that no one is counted more than three times; then it is erased. There are no cookies. Without a camera she follows your pointer, and only your stay is counted.
